POSTPONED: Aether takes SF on an Urban Adventure

UPDATE: This event has been postponed. Check back for updates on when it will be rescheduled. 11.06.2014

Cruising its coastal highways on a motorcycle is one of California’s quintessential experiences. Unfortunately, so is weaving through stop-and-go traffic in order to cross any bridge to anywhere, and that takes skill and confidence as a rider. So when Aether Apparel thought of who they could turn to to lead an urban maneuvering skills training, the answer was right behind them with blue lights flashing: a motorcycle cop.

Details from Aether about the Sunday, November 9th event are below, and you can buy your ticket on their website.

Join us Sunday November 9th (11/9/14) for a day of urban motorcycle riding and technical skills training. Prepare for Urban Adventure.

Following our successful events in Los Angeles and New York, this Bay Area edition will begin with a scenic morning ride led by SF-based motorcycle collective Piston and Chain. The route will take riders on a tour of some of the most scenic riding roads in the area and will conclude at a training location on Treasure Island.

The afternoon will kick off with an on-site catered lunch, followed by skills training by active police motor officer Kerry Schilf. Participants will have the chance to learn how to “ride like a cop” by practicing on the same cone’s course motor officer use to train, while receiving critical feedback and coaching.

The day’s events will culminate with a motorcycle obstacle course designed by staff from RawHyde Adventures, the guru’s of off-road adventure riding. Here, bikes of all makes and models will use their low-speed handling skills to navigate through an urban debris field for the chance to win prizes and give-aways from Piston and Chain, RawHyde Adventures, and Aether.
